Thomas Carl Burrows ( Canadian, b.1940 ) “Pseudoplacida, ” 2014, cast pigmented polymer resin on canvas, signed, titled, dated and inscribed verso. Exhibited: Bau-Xi Gallery, Vancouver, British Colombia. Thomas Burrows uses cast polymer resin to create luminous monochrome surfaces that appear to be lit from within. His earlier work focused on the plight of squatters, and has included many other mediums, including performance, installation and assemblage. Provenance: Property of a Midwestern College.
