Jake Berthot (American 1939 - 2014) Untitled, 2002, etching and drypoint on Somerset Satin paper, signed in pencil lower right and dated 02, numbered 7/20, matted and framed. Jake Berthot began his career in the 1960's as a Minimalist and showed his work regularly at McKee Gallery and was then represented in New York by Betty Cunningham. He became more interested in depicting the natural world after he moved out of the city to upstate New York, where he began to focus on painting trees and hills. Provenance: Property of a Midwestern College.
