Handsome F.lli Pietta 1873 Great Western II single-action revolver chambered in 9mm, serial number E156801, and presented in very good used condition with minimal signs of use and a light cylinder turn line. This distinctive example features a 4.5-inch barrel with a bright bore and sharp rifling, a color case-hardened frame, blued barrel and cylinder, and contrasting brass grip frame and trigger guard. Gorgeous laser engraving. The revolver is fitted with striking Dead Mans Hand grips and has a crisp single-action trigger. Timing and lockup are within specification. Designed to chamber and eject standard 9mm cartridges without the need for moon clips, this revolver combines classic 1873 styling with an unusual modern cartridge. The original box and paperwork are included.

The Great Western II is Piettas interpretation of the classic 1873 single-action revolver, preserving the traditional profile, handling characteristics, and exposed-hammer operation that defined one of the most recognizable handgun designs of the American West. Chambering this traditional platform in 9mm creates an especially interesting variation, combining Old West styling with a widely available modern cartridge. The color case-hardened and blued finish combination, brass appointments, distinctive grips, and retained factory packaging give this example additional appeal to collectors of modern single-action revolvers.
