Exceptional period-custom Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 revolver chambered in .44 Magnum, serial number N858803, professionally modified for performance by Mag-na-port. This distinctive 4-inch N-frame retains its desirable pinned barrel, which has a bright bore with sharp rifling and was treated with Mag-na-ports signature muzzle porting. The revolver received an action job and was refinished in durable hard chrome, transforming the originally blued- or nickel-finished carbon-steel Model 29 into a striking custom revolver. Of particular interest, a stainless Model 629 cylinder was fitted to the gun as part of its period customization, creating an unusual two-material configuration. Additional features include a target hammer and trigger, adjustable target rear sight, orange-insert front sight, and black Pachmayr rubber grips. The hard-chrome finish shows signs of use, appropriate for a performance-built revolver of this age. A Smith & Wesson aluminum gun case is included.
