The set dates to the very early 1800s, likely around 1810, though it could be somewhat earlier, with a reasonable range of 1790 to 1810. The set consists of a teapot, a covered sugar bowl, and a creamer. The decoration is done entirely in white and gold. Towards the shoulder of all three pieces is a continuous, amorphous gilded design, somewhat resembling clouds or brain coral, with no geometric conformity, giving way below to a continuous horizontal band of gilded leaves or garland. The edges of the handles and the tops carry gilded decoration, the lids feature more of the same amorphous gilded design, and the finials, spout, and handles all have gilded accents. A further gilded band runs around the base of each piece near where it would rest on the table. The teapot and the covered creamer are both marked on the underside of their lids for Chamberlain's, Worcester. The sugar bowl is unmarked. Condition is fabulous for a porcelain set well over two hundred years old. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs, only some very minor glaze impurities, common to porcelain of the period and truly insignificant. The gilding is in excellent condition throughout, with only very minor wear, and the set is entirely usable today. The teapot measures 10 inches from handle to spout tip, and 3 1/8 inches to the top of the handle. The sugar bowl measures 7 1/4 inches across the handles, and 4 3/8 inches to the top of the finial on the lid. The creamer measures 4 3/8 inches to the top of the handle, and 5 1/4 inches from the handle to the spout tip.
