My grandmother was an artist, a world traveler and a collector of beautiful things. She must have been thrilled when she found the bone china sugar and creamer from Embassy Ware of Fondeville England decorated with lovely sprays of violets that seem to perfectly match the violets on her English Radfords bone china plates. This collection includes five gold rimmed luncheon/salad/dessert plates and two saucers from Radfords and the gold rimmed and similarly decorated Fondeville creamer and sugar.

While all are fine china, the Fondeville set appears to be older than the plates, as is seen in the age and wear, particularly on the creamer, but also in that they are lighter and more delicate, making their survival to present day even more miraculous. The saucers work perfectly to hold the creamer and sugar for service, no doubt as grandmother intended.

Lovely to use for entertaining or for display.
