This sleek small pewter pitcher is stamped Kirk and pewter on bottom. Little round felt pads were put on by the previous owner. Samuel Kirk was known for his silversmith craftmanship. Many silversmiths switched to pewter for various reasons. In 1979 Kirk and Sons company merged with the Steiff company, Kirk Steiff is used after this time.
