Gorgeous French blue background needlepoint pictures of children named "Ned" and "Jane". Soft colors and lovely simple handiwork. Dated 1942 (and gifted by artist in 1945 per notation on the back of each one). Nicely framed with some wear and minor water damage to back of "Ned" and some taping (as photographed) but these are so beautiful for those who collect needlepoint art. These were part of my mother's antique collection. I believe she found them in the Midwest on some of her travels. They were originally framed in Omaha at HP Whitmore Fine Arts. Two slightly different sized but look lovely stacked on the wall. "Ned" is 16.5 inches by 13 inches and "Jane" is 17.5 inches by 14.25 inches.
