Antique Japanese lacquerware box, featuring makie decoration where metal powder is sprinkled over wet lacquer to create designs. Traditionally made from wood coated with urushi lacquer sap, featuring a floral motif. Detailed with a glossy black finish and adorned with hand-painted orange and light gold painted floral decorations. Often used to store personal accessories, or precious items.

A beautiful oval piece with a fitted lid. The interior is lined with a vibrant red fabric at top and bottom. The lining also features a beautiful floral motif.
