Morgan Dennis was an American illustrator and author known primarily for his paintings of dogs. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in Long Island, New York. He studied art with William Harry Warren Bicknell. Dennis was an etcher, illustrator, writer and lecturer. His dog illustrations appeared in many well-known magazines and books. He was particularly well known for his depictions of Scotties. Dennis drew the original illustrations for the Black and White Scotch ads.Pencil signed and titled lower margin
