Produced as part of Drexel's Et Cetera line, this beautiful piece features Louis XV lines and hand-painted Asian influenced floral designs over black lacquer and gilt painted accents. Desktop is burlwood framing around black leather and a gold leaf floral boarder. Original matching chair carries the theme with added elements of cane backing and Prince of Wales tartan seat.

While this set is in nice condition, it does have some flaws from age and use. Some areas of the black lacquer is worn especially along the top rail of the chair (where one would put their hand to pull the chair out), and along the top inside edge of the desk (where one would rest their arms when writing). The burlwood top has one longer scratch (as seen in the photos) and one area that shows an indentation (hard to photograph or see in some lighting). One small section of the leather does have a corner that is lightly wavy. Gold accent on the chair does have some sections that have been touched up. Again, the overall condition is very nice with just enough history to not worry about enjoying it in your home.
