Set of 4 original antique hand colored engravings from Flore Medicale (Medical Flowers) published in 1818 in France. The series was illustrated by Pierre Turpin (1875-1840) and portray a variety of flowers, trees and herbs which could be used for treating illnesses. Each print is accompanied by the original text page which was referenced by the physician in the using plants in treating illnesses.

Each print measures 4.5 x 8 inches. Shown on the prints:
Top Row (L to R): Basil, Scammony
Bottom Row (L to R): Ginger, Egyptian Privet

These are original antique prints from 1818 - not reproductions. They are in excellent condition. Each print is packaged in an archival plastic sleeve with backing board. The series is shipped in a cardboard flat mailer with cardboard insert for additional protection.
