Small antique wood footstool upholstered in its original needlepoint cover with original gimp and nail-head detail. Nice neutral charcoal/black background with traditional floral design in dark and pale pink, dark and pale yellow, pale green and grey. The black wool yarn on three of the four corners has worn away (pictured) and exposes small areas of the beige-colored needlepoint mesh. A hairline crack near one of the feet is visible (pictured), but is solid and secure and does not effect use. The curved feet details were built with a reinforcing dowel inside. Cute!
