Late 1970s art deco iteration of a Kem Weber style chair and ottoman. Maker unknown - but likely Mitchell Gold + Bob or
Renato Zevi.
Weber and other deco designers' furniture designs mimicked the streamline architecture around them. Surely, if this chair and ottoman set were made today it'd be manufactured in a dull, grey, brown, or beige. This one is a delightful, brown and gold weave; fabric is thick, nubby, velvety, and in pristine shape. Vintage upholstered furniture can have wear at the seems and edges; these are perfectly intact (photos shown). Doesn't appear to have been used much if at all- it's such a fabulous design piece just showing in a corner! The underneath casing of the upholstery also perfect; upholstery binding duly suggests 1970s.

Frame is Tubular, continuous chrome. Each seat removes to reveal a full chrome skeleton. Chair Cushions zipper off for cleaning.
