A rare and charming example of mid-century tole hollowware, this cachepot or vase is painted with charming scenes of monkeys climbing trees and with rope-twist ring handles. The detachable cover is painted with additional moneys on all sides and with screw-off finial that would allow for easy conversion to a table lamp. Apparently unmarked.
