Petite vintage watercolor portrait painting of a woman in profile circa 1930-1940. Executed on heavy ivory art paper stock in a slightly abstracted style, from a portfolio of work from the estate of American 20th C. artist, Ruth Fulda Wacker. Unsigned. We love the divided colorblock treatment of the background colors and how that choice complements the angular features of the sitter.

Framed under glass in a period giltwood frame having carved details at the corners and just the right amount of wear to the gold finish. The piece is freshly matted with a new double window mat. (Though the mat is brand new, we do note a teensy demarcation on the edge of the second view cut in the upper right corner, mentioned for accuracy's sake and not readily noticed except on close inspection).
