Inspired by the plumage of peacocks, this is a salad or dessert plate from Rorstrand's "Amanda" pattern made in Sweden and designed by Christina Campbell in 1968 (discontinued as of 1977).

An exotic pattern done in shades of blue and brown, the plate measures 8 1/4" in diameter and 3/4" in height, and while perfectly safe for serving snacks, it also makes a lovely decoration on a coffee table, or can be displayed on an easel or a bookshelf, or can be framed in a shadow-box.

Christina Campbell , (b1940) is a Swedish graphic artist, ceramist and printmaker. She worked at Rorstrand Sweden from 1966 through 1972 where she created the designs: Agda, Amanda, Augusta, Glunt, Karolina, Klunk, Laban, Mamsell, Pyret, and Tobias.
