Vintage Somaware or Somayaki Tea Cups Golden Horse, Double Wall with Hearts. Listing is for a set of 4. MCM.
These stunning double wall Cups with the heart shaped cut-outs and a green crackle glaze were made in the Fukushima area of Japan. The cups are 3.125" in diameter and have gold trim. In each set, 4 of the cups have the gold Soma running horse on the bottom inside the cup. All horses show some wear, at least 1 of which is largely worn away.

Measure 3 1/8" tall x 3 1/8" diameter. These are the larger cups and can comfortable hold 8-9 oz. of your favorite hot beverage, while protecting your hands from the heat through the double-wall construction. Smart and stylish!

They are all in very good condition. The wear to the gold band on the rim is significant, but does not detract from the beauty of these cups!
