I love this rare and unique antique whimsical mold by Reinhold Schlegelmilch!
With its colorful roses in shades of pink & yellow, white daisies and then on to the greens, chartruse to lime and then a deep almost forest green. The pattern of the mold is #34 with a two tier crimped border that is highlighted with gold gilding. The gold gilding is also painted in a leaf and vine design around the border of florals. The porcelain is a true white.
Based on research of makers mark, pattern # and details - this was made before WWI between 1870-1918 and was most likely sold to someone here in the US in the late 19th to early 20th century. The factory in the city of Suhl in Prussia, now Germany, exported heavily to the US to fill the needs of the growing middle class during this period. Plate stand is not included.
