The solid carved wood chair which features reeded and tapered legs has a matching footstool that features bun feet. the miniature ottoman as well as the chair were reupholstered in 2012 with a silk beige and taupe with a striped pattern that has repetitive rows of widget style icons that include a variety of masculine leaning effigy's such as:: a man's rimmed hat, an instamatic camera, a fountain pen, a pocket watch, a fishing lure, a compass, a wine glass, a suitcase, cufflinks and a man's shoe. Maybe the masculine icons represent those that tell the story of an author/ writer or perhaps those of a reporter / journalist? Adding further intrigue is the chair itself which has a refined and elegant form is more feminine in its form and delicate features than the upholstery which elegantly pads the arm rests suggests.
