Antique Still Life with Fruit and Melon

Traditional European style still life with harvest fruits, figs, pears, grapes, and cantaloupe. The range of tones in this piece creates a high contrast between the light of the fruits and the moody darkness of the background. Some light impasto on the fruit pieces provides textural interest.
