A finely upholstered (JAB Germany fabric) northern European Empire sofa / settee with bolster cushions. The sofa is well made and exhibits a very nice inlayed shell design to the arm face. Sofa has been reinforced to the rear. These sofas were generally kept against a wall, hence the appearance of the back. It is a very appealing piece. Of 19th century northern European/Scandinavian origin.
