Here's a fantastic jelly cupboard for the primitive Americana lover. This dates to the Mid 19th Century. Original gray paint, square nails and original lock (no key) all add to the charm and allure of this piece. Probably walnut, it features one board sides and top and a hand chamfered door insert. Door joints are tongue and groove. Back is rough hewn lumber. Inside has three shelves that are 1" thick, as are all the boards. A true collector piece that is a rarity in today's market.

Top had vices attached to it at some points, so there are holes where they were attached. See pictures. Paint has chipped. A repair to the backboard bottom was made at some point. Enforced with tin on inside of cabinet. The feet have some dry rot, but they are sturdy. Suggest support from furniture caps to stop any wobbling.
