Exceptional pair of high quality satin smooth solid rosewood and blue cloisonne low stools, pedestals or side/drinks tables. Hand made in China around the 1960's - 1970's. These superbly carved pieces each have a colourful circular inset Cloisonne enamel panel on the top - 2 opposing intircate panels.
They portray Chinese scholarly and auspicious items, floral arrangements in decorative blue and green vases (prunus / cherry blossoms), and urns.
All hand carved and set on elegant cabriole legs, with stylised fortuitous bats on each arch between the legs. The top of the table is made from matched rosewood.
Lovely as well as very functional and useful Chinoiserie pieces for your home. Can be used as stands, pedestals, side / drinks tables, stools or purely decorative items. They have a variety of uses.
Such quality pieces are hard to find nowadays. These will not disappoint upon arrival.
