Rare large oil on board from listed Italian artist V. Canevari, from the Italian school, featuring whimsical nuns, a cowboy, and horse.

The image here measures 12" x 20". Original matting and frame brings total dimensions to 20" x 28".

Appears to be the ghost of previous gallery label.

Preserved under glass, with wood backing and thick frame, the piece is quite heavy.

A fantastic image, very colorful, and very rare to find one of these whimsical nun paintings in such a large size.
