Pair antique early 19th century American Classical stenciled wood curtain valences. Decorated with cornucopia and baskets of fruit. Wonderful early examples. Measure 43 1/8" long x 8 5/8" tall x 4 1/8" out from the wall. With the bracket at the side measure 13 1/4" tall. Wear consistent with age; old repair to one flourish at the top; age cracks and one bracket is loose and needs a screw. One piece of beading missing from the raised boxes would not be difficult to replace. A rare and handsome set.
