18th-century Japanese scroll scene. Painted in ink washes on paper mounted to a hanging scroll. Now reduces to the original Japanese silk brocade surround. Orche gold tone with black to grey washes. A solitary little man in some happy expression of the moment against a bare landscape. The image has a character marking to the lower right with a red chop stamp. The measurements are 23.75" by 20.75" overall. The image size is 19.5" by 12.75"
