This is an antique gilded mirror, likely from the late 19th century. The frame features a classic Louis XVI style with a repeating pattern often referred to as dental pattern. 
The frame is made of giltwood, which is wood covered in a thin layer of gold leaf or a similar metallic finish. 
The mirror glass itself is recent.
