"Where It Gathers" is an oil on canvas landscape painting by Michael Magrin, completed in 2026.

A long bank of clouds runs across the upper two thirds of the canvas against a deep blue sky. The mass builds highest on the left, where the crowns catch bright white light, then flattens into stacked horizontal shelves of gray, slate and pale violet as it moves right, with a few small clouds drifting alone near the upper right corner. Below, the land lies level across the lower third: bands of gold and wheat colored grass broken by darker olive patches, a low tan rise along the horizon, and a paler strip of distant ground sitting under the cloud shadow. The palette holds to blue, white, gray, ochre and olive green. Forms are laid in as broad flat planes, with the individual strokes left visible in the grasses of the foreground.

The painting measures 35 inches high by 60 inches wide. It is framed and ready to hang, and measures 36 by 61 inches framed. The frame is shown in the photographs. Signed by the artist.
