French cast bronze tie-back in the shape of a serpent wrapped around the ribboned tassel. Gilt wash over the very fine casting of a serpent. Great detail of scales on the top and also on the segmented scales on the underside of the snake. The size is large, measuring 22.5" tall and 5.25" wide at the bow and 5.25" deep at the snake head. Two attachment points for screws are found at the middle and towards the knot at the bottom.
