This mid century Italian ceramic wall plaque was created by Giovanni Petucco. The piece features a hand painted troubadour or minstrel figure playing a stringed instrument against a black background. The figure is dressed in a green and white striped shirt and pink pants, rendered in a folk art style. The plaque has a white border with gray brushstrokes and is finished with a wire hanger on the back. The front surface has a matte finish and the back is marked with numbering. The plaque measures 10.5 inches wide by 9.75 inches tall by 1.25 inches deep. The piece is in good vintage condition, and has a some minor chipping along the back edge near the wire hanger on the back.
