Description

A striking early 19th-century engraving depicting beautifully detailed murex and cowrie shells, originally published in Natural History of Shells by renowned naturalist and illustrator George Perry. Created to educate collectors and enthusiasts of marine life, Perry's celebrated folio also served as a source of inspiration for artists, designers, and architects during the Regency era.

Dimensions of print: 10" x 16.5". Excellent condition.
