1968 Lane Perception round side / end table. Original walnut veneer covers the center of the top, while the edges are banded with ash wood. The solid ash base has great sculptural lines.

The table has been carefully refinished to match the original tones of base. It has been sealed with several coats of lacquer. Original as found condition showed lifting veneer down the center with a small piece missing. The missing piece was filled and color blended. At the final finish coat, however, the veneer lifted again suggesting the Tite-Bond III glue bond dissolved. If desired this could be re-bonded, otherwise it is only noticed in certain light conditions.

Does not affect structure or function. Minor repair completed to one leg as well. See photos.

This vintage Lane "Perception" table was manufactured on April 13, 1960.

Lane Furniture utilized a standard identification system stamped directly onto the underside of their mid-century tables.Serial Number (SER-N-O-861340): Lane's serial numbers are decoded by reading the digits completely backwards (from right to left).

Style Number (908-06): This confirms the exact catalog model. The 908 signifies the Warren Church "Perception" collection, and the -06 designates this specific round lamp/side table variant.
Plant Number (25): The small separate digits indicate the specific factory production line or plant where the table was assembled.
