Decorated with an elegant peacock among flowering branches in richly colored enamels framed by gilt bronze mounts, this petite cabinet captures the exceptional artistry of late nineteenth century Japanese metalwork. Bearing a mark associated with the celebrated Kyoto cloisonne artist Inaba Shichiho (1850 to 1931), it offers both refined craftsmanship and remarkable decorative appeal.
