This is an original artwork by the renowned American folk and outsider artist Reuben Aaron "R.A." Miller (1912-2006) from Rabbittown, Georgia It is signed "R.A. Miller" in the bottom-left corner.
Medium: Paint and marker on found sheet metal/tin.
Iconography: Features his signature catchphrase "LORD LOVE YOU" written across the top.
Miller was a Free Will Baptist minister, cotton mill worker, and farmer who began creating art in his late 60s as glaucoma took his eyesight. He famously covered his hillside property in "whirligigs" and painted cutouts of animals, angels, and devils to spread his spiritual message. His art was even showcased in early R.E.M. music videos and is preserved in major institutions like the High Museum of Art.
