A sculptural "Deep Thoughts" chaise lounge by Blu Dot, finished in a rich loden green aniline leather and accompanied by a velvet lumbar pillow. The leather sits on a blackened powder-coated steel base that features an elegant cross-leg design and gives the piece a light, floating presence.

This is quite a comfortable chair, and the adjustable lumbar pillow can easily be adjusted up or down the back. It is obviously inspired by Charles and Ray Eames' "La Chaise" but this one is far more comfortable, especially for longer sits.

The full aniline leather has developed a lovely natural patina with light surface wear and character marks consistent with age and use (please see photos) - a hallmark of authentic natural leather. Original manufacturer's label intact. This chair was designed by Blu Dot in Minneapolis, MN, USA, and manufactured in China. It was purchased new in 2020 for $2,495. The retail price today seems to be $2,995.
