Elegant early 19th-century American mahogany flip-top card or game table in the Sheraton tradition, featuring a beautifully figured mahogany apron, shaped front and slender reeded legs terminating in turned ball-form feet.

The hinged top opens to create a larger playing or dining surface and is supported by a swing-out rear leg. Particularly attractive figured mahogany veneer across the shaped apron gives the table a rich, decorative presence when displayed closed as a console or hall table.

Fine period-inspired details include the reeded and ring-turned legs, shaped apron and restrained classical proportions characteristic of American Federal and Sheraton furniture.

A versatile antique piece that works beautifully as a console, occasional table or traditional card/game table.
