This lot features a vintage 1978 Topps football trading card showcasing legendary Pro Football Hall of Fame running back John Riggins of the Washington Redskins. Known for his powerful, bruising running style that eventually earned him Super Bowl XVII MVP honors, "Diesel" is captured in an intense sideline profile wearing eye black and a white team towel draped over his shoulders. The card utilizes the definitive 1978 design layout, featuring a curved purple banner across the top displaying the team name alongside a yellow "RB" position circle. This authentic piece of gridiron history stands as an outstanding addition for vintage sports card collectors, set builders, or dedicated fans of historic NFL legends.
