First edition of the landmark comic book primer on MLK and the civil rights movement Nyack, NY: The Fellowship of Reconciliation, [1957]. First edition. (One of a reported 250,000 copies in the first and only printing of the first edition. Not one of the reprints with the orangish paper tone printed on the page in a dot matrix.) [16] pp. Bound in publisher's staples. Very Good with even toning to covers, small closed tear to front wrap at lower edge, small square of loss at rear cover. Fragile, but intact. Surprisingly uncommon in commerce despite the large print run. .
