I enjoy unusual pieces-and this short-stool invites much conversation-what an oddity! It is made from a dark wood (black walnut?) and the seat is a 4" thick slab, with the legs being anchored all the way through the seat! This little powerhouse has 4 legs, for stability-not a tippy, 3-legged one (a shout-out to all of the old dairy farmers, who missed "the mark" on their dairy stools, in the wee hours of the morning!)... :(
