This abstract watercolor is by June Felter (noted San Francisco Bay Area artist. It measures 18.5 x 22 inches (28.5 x 31 inches framed). It is signed and dated in the lower right "June Felter 2003". The painting is in very good condition. The frame is in good condition with a very small dent on the lower bar, right side. It is framed in UV plexiglas that is in good condition except for few tiny 1/16" square pits visible in raking light.

June Felter was a figurative painter born in Oakland, California. She never moved from the Bay Area. She studied at the Oakland Art Institute from alifornia School of Arts and Crafts,nd the San Francisco Art Institute from 1960-1961.

For over 30 years she taught and exhibited her art throughout the Bay Area.

Her contemporaries were Richard Diebenkorn, Elmer Bischoff, and David Park all of whom were instrumental in the San Francisco figurative movement.

Her watercolors are based on her personal history giving full reference to the life of an artist.

Her works are in the National Museum of Art, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and the Oakland and San Jose Museums.
