This antique, turned-wood, Windsor Dairy Stool has a dished, saddle seat for comfort. It has (3) splayed legs, and only (2) stretchers (very unusual). The wide seat is extremely sturdy and boasts a gorgeous, deep-grain, patina, which was developed over decades of use! The coloring is dark and rich, and covered with interesting "drying" cracks-but let there be no doubts about its strength and sturdiness-this stool was well-built and meant to go the distance!
It is numbered on the bottom of the seat: 1049 and coded on one of its legs, RQ50.
The stool only weighs 6.4 pounds.
