Antique c.1910s wooden corner spool shelf with five graduated tiers and turned spool uprights, finished in a dark, opaque varnish that gives a smooth, almost lacquered look. Likely late Victorian to early 20th century (1890s-1910s), it reads as American or English cottage parlor furniture, originally meant to hold small curios and plants. Three eye screws at the top allow the piece to be suspended with chain or cord, or it can stand on the floor as a traditional corner "whatnot" shelf.
