A rare remarkable pair of Chinese temple foo dogs or guardian lions, expressive and beautifully stone carved, each sitting on a carved base with remnants of original paint and gilt, signed with characters on the back base of each sculpture, holes on the back for temple incense.
A fantastic rare pair for the collector.
