This expressive acrylic still life explores memory, emotion, and abstraction through a familiar domestic scene turned imaginative. A teal vase bursts with orange blossoms, flanked by a tall glass vessel of deep pink roses and scattered white blooms across the lower canvas. The loosely rendered table and chair hint at structure while fading into a fragmented, textural background layered with brushstrokes and washes of blue, green, and earth tones. A playful blue horse with lime green mane appears, offering continuity and character to the evolving scene.

This work falls under abstract expressionism with elements of contemporary still life. The artist disrupts spatial realism in favor of spontaneity and texture, allowing forms to emerge and dissolve in a painterly push and pull. It suggests a layered narrative, one where objects from daily life become characters in a dreamscape shaped by both observation and emotion.

Satin varnish, artist signature lower left, wired and ready to hang.
