Mid-19th century Chinese portrait of a lady painted on rice or pith paper. Qing dynasty. Gouache watercolors creating a rich tapestry of colors of this lady at ease. Note how 3-dimensional things become. Her shoes are off, a cushion & throw are being brought to her. Sight: 10 3/8" x 7.5".
