Original watercolor on paper by Henry Emil Salloch, also known as Heinz Emil
Salloch, the German-born American artist and graphic designer who emigrated to the United
States in 1937. This unframed work depicts the historic ruins of the Pecos Mission in Nuevo Mexico, rendered in a heavily structured cubist-expressionist style. Signed at the bottom left and dated 1959.
The sheet measures approximately 20'' X 25''. Condition is vintage and unrestored, with overall good presentation. Sold unframed.
A strong example of Salloch's mid-century landscape work, with fluid ink line and transparent
watercolor washes.
