Original watercolor on paper by Henry Emil Salloch, also known as Heinz Emil
Salloch, the German-born American artist and graphic designer who emigrated to the United
States in 1937. This unframed work depicts a rugged, northern wilderness landscape featuring a quiet body of water surrounded by dense evergreen forests and rolling hills at St Anne Lake . Signed at the bottom left and dated 1950.
The sheet measures approximately 20'' X 15''. Condition is vintage and unrestored, with overall good presentation. Sold unframed.
A strong example of Salloch's mid-century landscape work, with fluid ink line and transparent
watercolor washes.
