Description
Height:8.7cm(3.43in)Width:6cm(2.36in)Weight:160g(0.353lb)This snuff bottle is made of white glass material. It has a plump flattened body, short neck and ring foot. Both sides of the bottle are decorated with enamel paintings of Western ladies. One side depicts a lady resting by balustrade, with flower-adorned blonde hair and European costume, set in garden scenery. The other side shows a Western lady with wide pink hat, resting her cheek on hand against lakes and hills background. The neck is decorated with gilded scroll patterns. The painting combines Chinese and Western painting techniques, with delicate facial rendering of figures, showing typical court Western style. Red regular script mark ??Qianlong Nian Zhi?? is painted on the base. The mouth is mounted with copper fitting, topped with emerald green glass bead stopper. Glass body painted enamel is a sophisticated craft, a precious category of imperial snuff bottles in Qing dynasty with outstanding artistic value.
