Yellow Callas, Green Leaves (After Georgia O'Keeffe) is a striking vertical composition by American painter Anita Blythe. In this original oil painting, a bold stalk of calla lilies emerges from a sea of swirling, dreamlike blue, echoing the spirit of O'Keeffe's iconic floral works while remaining rooted in Blythe's intuitive, contemporary hand.
It is not a reproduction or mechanical copy, but a unique and authentic work, painted entirely by hand.
Painted circa 2000-2009, this piece captures the organic curves and sensual essence of the calla lily, elevated through a rich interplay of form and color. The gallery-wrapped canvas presents beautifully on its own-no frame required.

About the Artist:
Anita Blythe (b. 1956) is an American painter known for her expressive use of color, intuitive forms, and emotional connection to nature. Largely, self-taught artist, Blythe began her practice in the early 1970s and has worked in oil for most of her life. Though best known today for her plein air landscapes painted throughout the American Southwest, her earlier and mid-career pieces-like this homage to Georgia O'Keeffe-reflect a fascination with form, light, and botanical subjects. Her work continues to be collected for its vibrant energy and thoughtful composition.
